During the spring of 2019, Island Automotive rebuilt the engine on a 1964 Porsche 356 SC: a numbers-matching 1600 cc air-cooled flat four with factory big-bore pistons and cylinders, completely overhauled and precision balanced.

Car shows
Island Automotive and the Marco Island Center for the Arts sponsor the Cars As Art car show, a unique and artistic view on classic cars. Keith Pershing also organized the Rookery Bay Classic Car Show at the Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve.
